Helping businesses survive through generations is focus of Nov. 4 program

“Built to Last,” a program on strategies for multigenerational businesses, will be held Tuesday, Nov. 4, at the Kacmarcik Center for Human Performance in Grafton.

Registration and networking will run from 7:45 to 8 a.m.  with the program running from 8 to 9 a.m.

The session will feature a panel of business leaders, including Jake Shully, the second generation owner of Shully’s Cuisine in Thiensville; Michelle Polum, the middle generation owner of Ram Tool in Grafton; James Schowalter, the fourth generation and owner of Port Washington State Bank in Port Washington. 

The panel will discuss the challenges of working with multiple generations of a family and transferring leadership among the generations.

The cost is $25 for Chamber of Commerce members and $30 for nonmembers.

A light continental breakfast is included.
