Group to discontinue Giro d’ Grafton event

The Grafton Area Chamber of Commerce announced Tuesday that its affiliate, Celebrate Grafton, has decided to retire the Giro d’ Grafton, which for 17 years brought Tour of America’s Dairyland bicycle racing to the village.

The event’s organizing arm of the Chamber, which relies on donations to  fund its activities, made what was described as the difficult decision to no longer host the bike race in order to enhance other community events it sponsors or create new ones.

Celebrate Grafton organizes the Music in the Park GALA concert series, Food Truck Night, Military and First Responders Appreciation Night in conjunction with the Grafton High School football team, Holidaze Independence Day celebration and Fall into Grafton.
