Grafton police investigating death of man found in home early Friday

The Grafton Police Department is investigating the death of a 34-year-old man whose body was found in a house in the 900 block of Spring Street early Friday, May 3.
Officers who were called to the intersection of Ninth Avenue and Spring Street at 2:20 a.m. discovered an 18-year-old woman in need of medical attention, according to a police department press release.
Officers learned the woman had come from the house on Spring Street where officers discovered the man’s body, according to police.
The press release states the woman is from California and appears to have been staying with the man, who was stabbed numerous times.
The woman was arrested, police said.
The Wisconsin Department of Criminal Investigation, State Crime Lab and State Patrol are assisting the police department.
The last homicide in the village was in 1982.
