Grafton to induct Hall of Fame class

The 2026 Grafton Athletic Hall of Fame class will be inducted on Thursday, May 7.

The inductees are:

Tom Garrity (Class of 1978)

He was a three-sport athlete at Grafton High School. On the gridiron, he finished his career as first team all-conference and all-state and went on to letter four times at the University of Michigan, where he started at offensive tackle. In track and field, he was a key shot put and discus athlete on the 1978 conference championship team. He was also a letter winner in basketball.

Chris Eernisse (Class of 2005)

Eernisse was a standout in football, basketball and track and field. His career included numerous all-conference recognitions and concluded with being a key member of a state champion track and field relay team. He continued his football career at the University of Wisconsin-Madison as a walk-on.

Alex Nennig (Class of 2013)

Nennig was a standout both in the pool and on the baseball field. He was a four-year starter and finished his career as an all-conference outfielder and received all-state honorable mention. In the pool he had a hand in multiple school records that still stand today and was a multi-individual state champion. He swam and played baseball at Dennison University in Ohio.

The induction ceremony will be held at 5 p.m. in the Grafton commons at the high school. It is open to the public.
