Grafton goes 2-2 in softball

Grafton High School’s softball team snuck by Kettle Moraine Lutheran, 9-7, on April 8.

Ava Eernisse hit her third homer of the season and had two hits and four RBIs. Gabby Masse and Sydney Piaro each had two hits, including a double. Grace Zvara had an RBI double and Khiah King had two hits.

King allowed seven runs (two earned), seven hits, walked three and whiffed seven in seven innings.

Grafton won, 17-2, at Whitefish Bay last Thursday. King had two doubles and a triple and three RBIs. Zvara had three hits, including two triples, and three RBIs. Eernisse had three hits, including two doubles and three RBIs. Masse had two hits and two RBIs.

Addi Haessly allowed two runs, seven hits and two walks while whiffing six in five innings.

The Hawks last Saturday lost, 14-1, to Germantown. Eernisse had an RBI triple.

King allowed 12 runs (two earned), 11 hits and four walks while whiffing two in 3-2/3 innings. The Hawks made four errors.

Grafton lost on Monday to Hartford, 26-1. Masse had an RBI single.

Hartford’s Alivia Fischer, who has committed to play at Valparaiso University, had three home runs, a triple and a double and 10 RBIs.

Grafton, 3-2, plays at Nicolet on Thursday, April 16. The Hawks host Slinger on Tuesday, April 21.

CG-Belgium starts season 0-2

Cedar Grove-Belgium lost at rival Oostburg, 20-9, last Thursday. London Rulli had two doubles Grace Soerens had a hit and two RBIs. Jorjie Mejchar had an RBI single. Emmy Rulli had an RBI. Mejchar allowed 19 runs, eight walks and 17 hits in 5-2/3 innings.

The Rockets lost, 16-0, to Shebogyan Falls/Kohler on Monday.

The Rockets host Ozaukee on Thursday, April 16, play at Living Word Lutheran on Friday, April 17, at Manitowoc Lutheran on Monday, April 20, and they host Sheboygan Lutheran on Tuesday, April 21.
