Grafton Chamber seeks award nominees

Nominations are being accepted for the Grafton Area Chamber of Commerce’s annual Outstanding Citizen and Community Group awards.

The Outstanding Citizen award is given to someone who  “gives unselfishly of their time and talents to improve and enhance our community,” according to the Chamber.

The award can go to an individual or couple who are residents of the town or village of Grafton and demonstrate leadership, stewardship, integrity and community involvement.

The Community Organization award is given to a group “whose programs have enriched the lives of others and the quality of life in Grafton,” according to the Chamber.

The organization must be a nonprofit or volunteer-based organization that is a leader in the community.

The awards will be presented at the Community Tree Lighting Ceremony on Nov. 24, and the winners of the award are invited to take part in the annual Christmas parade on Nov. 29.

Nominations are due on Oct. 22.
