Getting a jump on their business careers

What better way to encourage young entrepreneurs than give them the opportunity to create a business, design and make a product, market it and sell it. That is what the Ozaukee Young Entrepreneurs Kids in Business Market did last month at the Northern Ozaukee School District campus in Fredonia.  To participate in the program, which is in its second year, students in third through 12th grade submitted business proposals, and once they were approved they got to work, often with the help of their families, on preparing for the market. Liv Miller, Kennedy Gomez and Aliza Krenek offered a variety of cake-pops. Coasters with wood-burned designs on them were sold by Jackson Long.
