Gary M Demge

Gary M Demge, age 66, passed away unexpectedly on Jan. 24, 2026, in Port Washington, Wis.   

Gary was born in Port Washington on April 5, 1959.

He was a 1977 graduate of Port Washington High School.

Gary had a career as a quality technician for Brady Corp. for 32 years. He retired in 2024.

In 1984, he married Michelle (Wieting), beginning a 42-year marriage. Together they raised three children, Collin (Liz Gotchow), Clayton (Jessica Jackson) and Emily, and have two grandchildren, Lorelei and Juliana.

Gary was an accomplished guitar player who started playing when he was just 16 years old. He was in multiple bands and was still playing with his two buddies, Pat “Cork” Corcoran and Grant Smith. They played as a trio for the past 30 years. Gary was extremely proud of his studio and many guitars, building many from scratch.

He was an avid Packers, NASCAR and golf fan, creating a par 3 golf course in his five-acre yard. Gary could build or create just about anything. He was a craftsman who not only took care of any household repair but built all kinds of projects, including a greenhouse for Michelle, mini-cars and go-carts.

Gary is survived by his loving wife Michelle, son Clayton and daughter Emily, and is further survived by his two granddaughters, Loreli and Julia, brothers John and Chuck Demge and sisters Chris Coakley and Barb Gosewehr, as well as many other family members and friends.

Gary was preceded in death by his son Collin, parents Virgil and Ethel Demge and brothers Duwayne and Brian Demge.

A memorial service for Gary was held Monday, Feb. 2, 2026, at Eernisse Funeral Homes & Cremation Service, 1600 W. Grand Ave., Port Washington, WI 53074.

Eernisse Funeral Home of Port Washington assisted the family with arrangements.
