Garden walk is Sunday

The Port Washington Garden Club Garden Walk runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, July 19.

This year’s walk features a diverse collection of gardening and landscape styles, including native plantings, woodland gardens, raised beds, pollinator habitats, perennial borders and fruit and vegetable gardens.

The gardens are at every stage of development, from a transformation of traditional lawn into a native pollinator landscape to established gardens after many years of care.

“Our Garden Walk is about sharing ideas, inspiring others, and celebrating the joy that gardens bring to our community,” Port Washington Garden Club President Glenyss Gilliam said.

Tickets are $15 and may be bought on the day of the walk at any garden or online at https://tinyurl.com/3ccyedvh.

Proceeds support the Garden Club’s beautification projects, educational programs and scholarships for students pursuing horticultural studies.
