Gallery 224 to feature art inspired by nature

The watercolor, gouache, digital and encaustic art by ARTservancy artist in residence Leslie Fedorchuk is being exhibited at Gallery 224 in Port Washington in August.

The exhibit features artworks inspired by Fedorchuk’s year at the Kratzsch Conservancy in West Bend.

Fedorchuk is an artist and teacher who has been working in alternative processes and artists’ books for more than 30 years.

She earned a bachelor of fine arts degree at the University of Michigan and a master of fine arts degree at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. She completed further graduate study in theology at St. Francis Seminary.

Her written and visual work deals with issues of autobiography, memory and domestic narratives.

Fedorchuk will hold an artist talk at the gallery, 303 N. Franklin St., at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 28.

The gallery is open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesdays through Sundays, but the ARTservancy exhibits are also displayed on the gallery’s website, www.gallery224.org.
