A fruitful hunt

Cousins Madelyn Rammel (left) and Finley Schwanz began enjoying the fruits of their labor (left) while Celia Minor, 2, bonded with the Easter bunny while being held by her father Brad.

About 150 children hunted down 1,600 eggs inside the new Belgium Community Church during the village’s annual Easter egg hunt Saturday morning. The event was originally scheduled to be held outside, but the Rev. Joe Radosevich invited egg hunters indoors due to bad weather, Belgium Area Chamber of Commerce Marketing Director Tara Williams said. The Belgium Area Chamber of Commerce sponsored the event. Belgium Community Church provided coffee for parents and Divine Savior Catholic School provided crafts for children.   Photos by Sam Arendt
