Due to the frigid temperature, classes and activities have been canceled Thursday for Grafton schools for the third time in a week.

Also closed because of the cold is the Grafton Public Library.

Garbage collection in the village was canceled Tuesday and Wednesday and service will be restored next week. Thursday’s collection is postponed until Friday, Feb. 1, and Friday’s collection will take place Saturday, Feb. 2.

Next week, Advanced Disposal will collect extra garbage that is bagged or contained at no additional cost. The collection only includes household garbage, no furniture, appliances or bulk items.

Garbage and recycling collection for Friday in the town has been moved to Saturday, Feb. 2.
