Free fishing weekend, free breakfast set

The state will hold free fishing weekend on Saturday, June 6, and Sunday, June 7, and the Harrington Beach State Park in the Town of Belgium is hosting a free fishing clinic and pancake breakfast.

Grafton Youth Hunting Association is holding a learn-to-fish clinic at Puckett’s Pond from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday. Department of Natural Resources warden Tony Young is the instructor.

Free lunch will be served and fishing equipment will be given away.

The Friends of Harrington Beach State Park will hold a free pancake breakfast from 8 a.m. to noon Sunday at the Ansay Welcome Center. Donations will be accepted.

Park admission fees are waived for the weekend.
