Frank Wellenstein

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Frank Wellenstein of Fredonia, who peacefully left us in the morning hours of Thursday, April 18, 2024, just one day shy of his 77th birthday. He passed away peacefully at the Clement J. Zablocki VA Medical Center in Milwaukee.
Frank, born on April 19, 1947, in Port Washington, Wis., the son of Leo and Luella (nee Stern) Wellenstein.
Frank grew up in Grafton and was a proud member of the Grafton High School Class of 1965.
Following his graduation, he bravely served his country in the U.S. Army.
Frank was the proud owner of Ozaukee Cleaning Services, a commercial cleaning company based in Fredonia for many years.
Frank was a man who found joy in the simple things in life. His time spent with his family, especially his grandchildren, was very precious to him. He loved spending his days playing golf and working around his house and yard, and he always kept himself busy with projects.
One of Frank’s greatest loves in life was his Dalmatians, who brought him immense comfort and companionship throughout the years.
Frank is survived by his two children, Nicole (Bill) Flesses and Brandon Wellenstein. He is further survived by his two loving grandchildren, Summer Samens and Ella Flesses, two sisters, Rosalee Wellenstein and Mary (Greg) Hantak, nieces, other relatives, many friends and his dog Abie.
He was preceded in death by his parents Leo and Luella Wellenstein.
In honor of Frank’s memory, a celebration of life ceremony will be held on Saturday, May 25, 2024, from 3 to 7 p.m. at MJ’s Bar and Grill, 100 S. Main St., Saukville.
He will be laid to rest with military honors at St. Joseph Parish Cemetery in Grafton on Sunday, May 26, 2024, at 11 a.m.
Eernisse Funeral Home, Port Washington, is honored to serve the family.
