Fern Kannenberg
PAID OBITUARY
Fern Kannenberg (nee Wittenberger) of Cedarburg passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, April 22, 2019, at the age of 77 years.
Fern was born in Waukesha on July 15, 1941, to the late Harry and Elsie (nee Schultz) Wittenberger and married Marvin Kannenberg on May 21, 1966, at First Immanuel Lutheran Church in Cedarburg.
Fern retired from Kohl’s Department Store in Grafton, where she worked in the shoe department for more than 25 years.
She was a member and leader of the Town & Country 4-H Club for more than 50 years. She was also a former member of the Cedarburg Garden Club.
Fern is survived by her husband Marvin of Cedarburg; children Holly Marshall of Chehalis, Wash., and Nowell Kannenberg of Cedarburg; her brother, the Rev. Denis (Barbara) Wittenberger of Cedarburg; and sister-in-law Delores Kloehn of Germantown.
She was preceded in death by her brother Lyle Wittenberger.
She is further survived by three grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, April 29, at Mueller Funeral Home, W63 N527 Hanover Ave., Cedarburg.
Visitation will be at the funeral home on Monday from noon until 1:45 p.m.
Interment will be at Immanuel Cemetery in Cedarburg.
