Fall fun to benefit veterans

The Van Ells-Schanen American Legion Post 82 and its Auxiliary held a family fun fall festival Saturday, Oct. 17, offering a chance at traditional autumn activities while raising money for Project Bravo, which works to provide veterans with service dogs. Auxiliary President Diane Burkhalter snuggled with one of those dogs during the event (left photo) while Halie Schwartz-Peck, 6, (right photo) decorated a pumpkin during the festival.
