Enjoying a Beer and a View

Hot, humid weather helped draw a crowd to Port Washington’s first beer garden of the season hosted by the Food Pantry July 7 at Upper Lake Park. Cold suds and lake breezes helped cool the crowd, which included (left photo, from left) Dean Wycklendt, Brian Hammernik, Kristy Hammernik, Joan Tuttle and Scott Worgull. Offering a toast were (top right photo, from left) Missy Larson, Ellen Haggenjos and June Driscoll. (Lower left photo) Jonathan Gill, Laura Ledden and Mike Gill sampled the beers on tap. The beer garden, which is hosted by a different community group each week, is held in Upper Lake Park from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. every Saturday except July 21 through Oct. 20. Photo by Sam Arendt
