Elroy Charles Berres

Elroy Charles Berres passed away on Friday, Oct. 22, 2021. He was 69 years old.
Elroy was born in Sheboygan, Wis., on Sept. 15, 1952, to parents Richard and Marion Berres.
Elroy graduated from Random Lake High School and was united in marriage to Sandra Bittner on Aug. 20, 1977, in Little Kohler.
Elroy was a hard-working man who enjoyed spending time with grandkids, his dog Peanut, fishing, hunting and simply being in the outdoors in his free time.
He always looked forward to football season and loved rooting on his favorite team, the Green Bay Packers. He will be deeply missed.
Elroy is survived by his wife Sandra; son Michael Berres; daughter Amy (Jared) Cottrell; grandchildren Hayden and Kinley Cottrell; siblings Doreen Dahm and Ralph Berres (special friend Lynn); and siblings-in-law Daniel (Eileen) Bittner, Thomas Bittner, John Bittner, Sharon (William) Hagel, Kathy Bittner, Patricia Bittner and Diane Bittner. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Elroy was preceded in death by his parents, parents-in-law Donald and Valerie Bittner, brothers-in-law Richard Dahm, Wayne Bittner, Alan Bittner and nephew Jason Testroete.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, Nov. 5, 2021, at 7 p.m. at Eernisse Funeral Home, 1600 W. Grand Ave., Port Washington, WI 53074.
His family will receive visitors from 4:30 p.m. until the service at 7 p.m.
Elroy’s family would like to express a heartfelt thank you to the Waubeka and Fredonia Fire Department EMS and Aurora Medical Center.
