Eerie Street Cemetery returns for charity

The Eerie Street Cemetery in Belgium is back again this year for more scares going to charities.

Rick Peszko and Rhonda Bell-Peszko have again turned their yard at 281 N. Middle Rd. into an extravagant Halloween attraction open to the public.

Peszko regularly decorated his yard for Halloween for years, first doing it for exercise while on a diet. In 2020, he began collecting donations for charity from those walking through it.

Hours are 6 to 10 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 18, Friday, Oct. 24, and Saturday, Oct. 26; 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 26; and 6 to 10 p.m. Friday, Oct. 31.

Proceeds and donations are being given to three charities.

Nonperishable food items are being accepted for Ozaukee Food Alliance.

Cash or Venmo are accepted for Mr. Bob’s Under the Bridge which gives items to the homeless. The organization also needs men’s and women’s jeans, men’s, women’s and children’s winter coats, laundered bedding, bath towels and adult backpacks.

Cash or Venmo donations are accepted for the Belgium Fire Department.
