Edmund Fitzgerald sinking is topic of program
The sinking of the Edmund Fitzgerald is the topic for a 6 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 10, program sponsored by the Grafton Historical Society.
The program will be held at the Rose-Harms American Legion Hall, 1540 13th Ave.
The program will be presented by Rochelle Pennington, an author and storyteller.
The Edmund Fitzgerald was a Great Lakes freighter that sank in Lake Superior during a gale on Nov. 10, 1975, with 29 men aboard. It is the largest ship to have sunk on the Great Lakes.
The program is free, but a $5 donation is suggested. Refreshments and a cash bar will be available.
