Dorr scholarship winner announced

Jordan Vrubley of Belgium is this year’s recipient of the Dr. Dorr Memorial Scholarship given by the Melvin Wester American Legion Post 412 of Belgium.

The $1,500 scholarship is given each year by the post to a student who lives in the town or village of Belgium or is a descendant of a post member and has completed at least three semesters of study in a medical field.

Vrubley is the son of Jeff and Debra Vrubley and the grandson of Janice and the late Frank Vrubley.
