Dorothy Friede

Dorothy Lois Friede of Adell, Wis., passed away on Saturday, April 23, 2022, at the age of 86.

She was born on May 12, 1935, in Port Washington to Esther (nee Clausing and Joseph Morauski.

She was married to Edward Friede also in Port Washington on Sept. 28, 1963, and together they have four children.

Dorothy grew up in Port Washington and graduated from Port High School. She went on to attend nursing school and worked as a nurse for several years.

She was an active volunteer at River of Life Lutheran Church in Saukville and with The Gideons International Association.

Dorothy had a passion for birdwatching and collecting lighthouses. She loved spending time with her family and beloved dog Bonnie.

Dorothy is survived by her husband Edward; her children Amy (Jeff) Richson, Kevin (Julie) Friede, Heidi (Steve) Halverson and Aaron Friede; grandchildren Joseph (Kara) Friede, Laurel Friede and Garrett Friede; and siblings Willard Morauski, Marjorie King and Carole (Norman) Philipps.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Donald and Robert and sister Marilyn.

A funeral service for Dorothy will be held at 5 p.m. on Thursday, May 5, 2022, at River of Life Lutheran Church, 598 Hillcrest Rd., Saukville, WI  53080.

The family will receive visitors at the church from 3 p.m. until the service.

Dorothy will be laid to rest at Boltonville Union Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to The Gathering Place in Sheboygan Falls or First Immanuel Lutheran Church in Cedarburg.

Eernisse Funeral Home of Port Washington is assisting the family with arrangements.
