Donald Richard “Don” Huebner

Donald Richard “Don” Huebner, age 67 years, of Saukville passed away Monday, Aug. 12, 2024. Don was a beloved brother, uncle and friend to many.

Donald was born on April 23, 1957, in Port Washington to Mary Ann Huebner (nee Price) and Walter A. Huebner.

Growing up in Cedarburg, he attended Cedarburg High School, Class of 1975, and went back for his GED.

Don was truly one of a kind. A man with the heart and energy of a child, he enjoyed his time playing yard games outside and goofing around with friends and family. His true best friend was his brother Bob, who he spent a good chunk of his time with. If you ever saw one brother, the other was probably close by.

One particular hobby Don had over the years was collecting eagle figurines, leaving behind an extensive collection for his family.

Don was never known to be an angry person but always as someone to count on to brighten up every room he entered, to turn every day into a party. He enjoyed pranks, tickle fights and smothering his loved ones with the most brutal bear hugs.

Don was simply a man who loved life. He loved animals, especially his dogs, his family, blood or chosen, and he particularly loved roping everyone into a friendly bocce ball tournament. He was the type of man to give you the shirt off his back, even if it was one of his beloved, beat-up old Harley-Davidson T-shirts that he ripped the sleeves off of. He treasured each and every person in his life with the utmost passion. He was loud and full of life.

Those Don leaves behind to cherish his memory include his siblings Robert Huebner of Cedarburg, Lara (Donald) Pintor of Rock, Mich., William (Debbie) Huebner of Gulliver, Mich., and Michael Huebner of Saukville.

He is further survived by his nieces and nephews Eric (Kathleen) Jordan of Grafton, Aaron Pintor of Rock, Mich., Tiffany (Norm) Muller of Mayville, Andrew (Marissa) Huebner of Germantown, Michelle (Dale Fogel) Dehling of Red Wing, Minn., Mary Ann Pintor of Marquette, Mich., Melissa (David) Feldman of Grafton and Tom (Lizzy Jacobson) Huebner of Cedarburg; great-nephew Nathaniel Fogel of Red Wing, Minn.; his stepdaughters Beth (Ben) Tynan of Fond du Lac and Amanda (Max Kinstler) Schmitt, also of Fond du Lac; and his stepgrandchildren Oliver, Waylon and Louis Tynan.

He is also survived by his dear aunt Norma Rychtik of Cedarburg and many loving friends and family members.

He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents and two sisters-in-law.

A celebration of life for Don will be held at a later date.
