Dennis Bottesi

He was born in Milwaukee to Chester and Evelyn (Elger) Bottesi on Jan. 20, 1943.

Dennis married the love of his life, Roselyn Heilgendorf, on Aug. 17, 1974, and together they raised a son and a daughter.

Dennis was a longtime member of St. John Lutheran Church in Fredonia. He was very active within the church, sang in the choir and believed strongly in his faith.

He worked in the insurance industry with Blue Cross Blue Shield and retired after many years of dedicated service.

In addition to music, Dennis enjoyed many creative outlets. He always had a project or two in motion and enjoyed landscaping and gardening in the summer and fiber arts during the wintertime.

He enjoyed photography and often had a camera ready to capture a family moment or beautiful sunset.

Dennis and Rose cherished their time with each other and friends playing sheepshead, but most of all he loved spending time with his family. His memory will be treasured forever.

Dennis is survived by his family, devoted wife Rose, his loving children Jennifer and Kevin (girlfriend Sarah Sparks) Bottesi,  his beloved grandchildren Soleil, Lucian, Sevryn and Isis, brothers-in-law Larry (Joni) Heilgendorf and Brian Heilgendorf and sister-in-law Dawn Heilgendorf. He is further survived by two nephews, one niece, his church family and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Lance Bottesi and mother and father-in-law Hilbert and Hilda Heilgendorf.

A funeral service will take place at 3 p.m. Friday March 3, 2023, at St. John Lutheran Church, 824 Fredonia Ave., Fredonia, Wis., 53021. The Rev. Marshal Frisque will preside. The family will receive guests at the church from 1:30 p.m. until the service.
