Dante A. De La Pasqua

Sept. 6, 1939 - Jan. 22, 2026

Dante A. De La Pasqua entered eternal life on Jan. 22, 2026, at the age of 86.

He was born Sept. 6, 1939, to Louis and Beatrice De La Pasqua.

Dante was a longtime resident of Grafton and Whitefish Bay.

He was the beloved husband for 62 years of Arlene M. De La Pasqua (nee Johnson);  loving father of Deanna M. De La Pasqua (Peter Kandziora), Andrea L. (Gundars) Berzins and Matthew L. (Jenny) De La Pasqua; proud grandfather of Matthew (Rachael) Savage and Sophia and Gianna De La Pasqua; and dear brother of Diana (the late Henry) Schack and Adrian (the late Roxanne) De La Pasqua. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many good friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Louis De La Pasqua.

Dante enjoyed a long career at Whitefish Bay High School teaching business education. His illustrious volleyball career began with coaching varsity boys’ and girls’ volleyball during his tenure at Whitefish Bay.  Following his retirement from teaching, he continued coaching at Nicolet, Port Washington and Grafton high schools.

He founded the Ozaukee Wave Volleyball Club and culminated his 50-year coaching legacy with recognition in the Whitefish Bay High School Athletic Hall of Fame and the Wisconsin Volleyball Coaches Hall of Fame.

The family expresses its profound thanks to the Rehabilitation Hospital of Wisconsin and Aurora Zilber Family Hospice for the extraordinary care given to Dante.

The family will greet friends on Saturday Feb. 7, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Parish, 1619 Washington St., Grafton, WI 53024. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1 p.m.
