Dale Joseph Sanem

Dale Joseph Sanem of Cedarburg passed away unexpectedly on Monday, Aug. 3, 2026, at the age of 55.
He was born the dear son of Joseph and Audrey (Bahr) Sanem in West Bend, Wis., on June 1, 1971.
Dale married the love of his life and best friend Alice Weirauch, on May 23, 2003, and together they raised three incredible sons, Jacob, Benny and Nicky.
More than anything in the world, Dale loved his family. No matter what the activity, if he was with his family he was happy. He loved teaching his sons the skills he had developed over the years. He was so proud of the young men they had become and where their futures were heading.
Dale always made people laugh. He was always there with a story, a prank or just some smart-ass quick-witted response. That is what we will miss the most, the way he made everyone laugh.
Behind all the laughter and playful comments, Dale was a brilliant man. That man could build or fix almost anything, and he would rarely admit defeat. He never gave up, even with the giant tractor in the back yard. He tried a million different things and always had something else to try before throwing in the towel and calling a “tractor guy.”
We always joked that “everyone needs a Dale” because of how he helped and took care of so many people. Dale was the guy who prided himself in always having the tool someone needed. If he didn’t have it, he would call all his friends to find it, or go buy it himself so he could lend it to the person in need. No matter what the cost of time or money, you could always count on Dale to be there for you.
Dale’s memory will remain in the hearts of those who loved him the most. He is survived by his wife and best friend Alice, their three children, Jacob, Benny and Nicky Sanem, all of Cedarburg, father Joseph Sanem of West Bend and sister Debbie (Perry) Wolf of St. Lawrence. He is further survived by other relatives and dear friends.
Dale was preceded in death by his mother Audrey Sanem.
Dale’s family will receive friends and relatives at First Congregational Church, 131 N. Webster St., Port Washington, Wis., from 3 to 6 p.m., Friday, Aug. 21, 2026. A funeral service will take place at 6 p.m.
Dale will be laid to rest at Immanuel Cemetery, Cedarburg.
Eernisse Funeral Home of Cedarburg is assisting the family with arrangements.
