Dale Demler,

Dale Arthur Demler, age 70, of Random Lake, passed away at Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice on Oct. 30, 2022, after a courageous battle due to complications from surgery.

He was born in Sheboygan on Nov. 28, 1951, a son of the late Raphael and Elaine (Derouin) Demler.

Dale attended St. Mary’s Catholic Grade School and graduated from Random Lake High School in 1969.

On April 24, 1976, he married Gail Hartmann at Our Lady of the Lakes, St. Mary’s Chapel, in Random Lake.

Dale worked at Gehl Co. in West Bend for two years and at Badger Tag and Label in Random Lake for 41 years, retiring in 2013.

He served 10 years on the Random Lake Village Board and served as an EMT and firefighter for 21 years with the Random Lake Fire Department.

Dale was most proud that his two sons followed in his footsteps and also joined the fire department.

Dale enjoyed playing softball, bowling, golfing, making people laugh and driving around “patrolling” the streets of Random Lake on his golf cart.

Survivors include his loving wife Gail; two sons, Marcus (Amy) of Random Lake and Kyle (Jessica) of West Bend; grandson Kamden; and brothers Lyle (Carol) of Marshfield, Terry (Corinne) of Sheboygan Falls and Paul (Michelle) of Sheboygan Falls.

He is further survived by his mother-in-law Delphine Hartmann of Fredonia, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Karen (Jim) Vorpahl of Random Lake, Dennis Hartmann of Fredonia, Linda (Heather) Rassel of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Marilyn (Mickey) Sabec of Fredonia, as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Dale was preceded in death by his parents; father-in-law Frederick “Fritz” Hartmann; sisters-in-law LuAnn Demler and Donna Hartmann; brother-in-law Rick Hartmann; nieces Joan and Jane Demler; nephew Lyle Demler Jr.; and great-nieceLaura Demler.

A celebration of Dale’s life will be held on Friday, Nov. 25, 2022, at Suchon Funeral Home in Plymouth.

Visitation will take place from 4 to 6 p.m., with a memorial service to follow at 6 p.m.

Following the service, there will be a time for food and fellowship with the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested in Dale’s name to the Random Lake Fire Department or Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice.
