Covered bridge is topic for May 4 talk

The 150th anniversary of the Covered Bridge in the Town of Cedarburg will be celebrated during the quarterly meeting of the Ozaukee County Historical Society on Monday, May 4.

The meeting will be held at the Peter Wollner American Legion Hall in Cedarburg, with a business meeting at 7 p.m. and the presentation at 7:30 p.m.

The presentation will discuss the covered bridge and its historical importance to the area, its architectural structure and the relevance it has today.

The speakers will include Kari Esser of the Town of Cedarburg Landmarks Commission, Town of Cedarburg resident Ed Beimborn, Milwaukee Riverkeepers representative Cheryl Nenn and Cindy Raimer of Sugar Maple Nature School.

Refreshments will be served.

The Legion Hall is at W57 N481 Hilbert Ave.
