Corinne A. “Connie” Doedens

Corinne A. “Connie” Doedens, also affectionately called “Mimi” by her grandchildren, of Grafton passed away peacefully in her sleep early Sunday, Aug. 3, 2025, at the age of 100.
She was married to the Rev. Dr. Paul B. Doedens for 64 years until his passing in 2015. Connie and Paul spent most of their time (35 years) in ministry at Crossroads Presbyterian Church in Mequon, where Connie served as the perfect pastor’s wife. She loved to be around people, enjoyed singing in the choirs, taught Sunday school and enjoyed children. She loved the life of being in the church.
From Crossroads, they spent six years at Valley Presbyterian Church in Green Valley, Ariz., followed by two years at Mountain Shadows Presbyterian Church in Tucson, Ariz., then finished their time in ministry at Community Presbyterian Church in Lac du Flambeau, Wis.
Connie loved her family, which included sons Mark (Jill), Timothy (Katherine), Andrew (Sandra), Daniel (Kathleen) and daughter Deborah (Paul) Segebrect, as well as 14 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Connie is further survived by nieces, nephews and sister-in-law Carolyn (nee Herber) Doedens of Cedar Grove.
She was preceded in death by her husband Paul Doedens, granddaughter Niki Doedens, brother-in-law Daniel Doedens of Cedar Grove, sisters Ruth Elger of Muskego and Audrey Frenz of Hales Corners and brother Howard Fleischman of Muskego,
Many thanks to the Anita’s Gardens administration and staff for their wonderful care and compassion over the past three years and to the staff of Brighton House Hospice for their recent care.
On Wednesday, Aug. 27, Crossroads Presbyterian Church, 6031 W. Chapel Hill Rd. in Mequon, will host a visitation from 12:30 to 2 p.m. with a memorial service at 2 p.m followed by a service of inurnment.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Niki Doedens Scholarship Fund or The Crossroads Foundation.
