Concessions Impressions

I must compliment the Grafton High School baseball and softball concession stand for Monday’s performance.

The temperatures were in the low 40s and it felt nearly freezing as coach Jasmine Freeze guided the softball team to a victory over Dominican. Note to Grafton athletics, the next coach you hire please be named “Tropical.”

Nonetheless, I hadn’t had lunch so I headed for my favorite place for a meal. They didn’t have pizza, so a hot dog it was. With hot chocolate. At that point, given the weather, they could have served a hot air balloon with a side of hot sauce and I would have ordered it.

It was all delicious, of course, and I was able to down the hot chocolate before it turned into a Popsicle.

Going back to last week, props to Port Washington parent Brian Barber for pointing out the large yellow mustard droppings all over my royal blue shirt at the track and field meet at Homestead. I really tried to eat that hot dog without involving my attire, but alas this is me. At least the weather was pleasant, the rare day last week that the sky wasn’t spinning.
