Commission approves Casey’s store expansion

The Saukville Plan Commission on Tuesday approved expansion plans to the Casey’s General Store on the village’s west side.

The company plans to add a 10-by-28-foot addition on the east side of its 4,006-square-foot building at the corner of West Dekora and South Tower streets.

The project includes interior renovations to provide additional food services, such as pizza, salads and wraps, according to documents filed with the village.

The number of employees is expected to remain between 15 and 20. 

The project is expected to cost $600,000.

In 2018, Ankeny, Iowa-based Casey’s bought the Saukville Tri-Par store at that corner, as well as six others in Cedarburg, West Bend, Slinger, Random Lake, Newburg and Hustisford.

Casey’s later built another store in Fredonia and has one planned in Port Washington at the intersection of Grand Avenue and Highway LL.

Casey’s operates more than 2,000 stores, mostly in the Midwest. It is the fifth-largest pizza restaurant in America.
