Clean Sweep waste collection set for May 2
The Ozaukee County Clean sweep hazardous waste collection will run from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday, May 4, at the Ozaukee County Highway Department facility in Cedarburg.
There is a $20 per vehicle fee to accept hazardous waste.
Tires will be accepted for an additional fee determined by the size of each tire.

Port Washington residents may recycle tires at the event but must take other hazardous waste to Violia, 1275 Mineral Springs Dr., Port Washington.
A list of materials that will be accepted at the Clean Sweep collection can be found online at https://www.ozaukeecounty.gov/2577/Clean-Sweep-Program.
Items that won’t be accepted include latex paint and stain, medications, ammunition, compressed gas cylinders, explosives, blasting caps and detonators, high-pressure cylinders, tanks, propane tanks, fire extinguishers, infectious or biological waste, needles, used motor oil and radioactive chemicals and devices, including smoke alarms.
Appliances and electronics will not be accepted.
The Clean Sweep collection will be at the Highway Department facility at 1221 Hilltop Dr.
