Christopher I. Lesar

Christopher I. Lesar left a lasting impression with everyone he met.
That has been the feedback his family has been hearing since Mr. Lesar, 57, who lived in the Town of Cedarburg, died Sunday, Dec. 17, at Aurora Medical Center in Grafton.
“(People have been telling us) this totally describes him: He always had a smile for everybody, he talked with everybody. He never was unfriendly to anyone,” his wife, Vicki said. “He always had a smile and a joke to give. Everybody would enjoy talking with him, wherever we went, family functions, games, whatever, it didn’t matter.”
Mr. Lesar was born in Milwaukee on Sept. 8, 1960, to Mark and Sharon Spowart Lesar.
The family moved to Baraboo when he was 6 and he graduated from Baraboo High School in 1978.  He attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison and earned his bachelor’s degree in operations research and management.
On March 24, 1990, Mr. Lesar married Vicki Wenzel at Grand Avenue United Methodist Church in Port Washington.  The couple settled in Saukville before moving to Cedarburg in 1999.
As an experienced sales and marketing leader, Mr. Lesar was a senior account manager at TIP Technologies in Waukesha.  Prior to that, he worked at Callidus Cloud in Milwaukee.
Mr. Lesar,  a member of St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church in Cedarburg, was an avid sports fan and cheered on the Packers, Badgers, Brewers and Bucks when he wasn’t rooting for his boys in wrestling or his daughter at volleyball.
When Mr. Lesar was younger, he  coached his kids’ lacrosse, baseball, volleyball and basketball teams.  He loved spending time with his grandchildren.
Mr. Lesar is survived by his wife Vicki;  children Brandon (Cree) of Oostburg, Carly Lesar of Hanford, Calif., and Dylan of Stevens Point; grandchildren Bryson and Amelya; and his parents Mark and Sharon.
He is further survived by brothers Peter (Shirley) of Mesa, Ariz., and Matthew (Karen) of Elm Grove; brothers and sisters-in-law Guy (Christine) Wenzel of West Bend, Mark (Kathy) Wenzel of Port Washington, Cindy (Bill) Large of Belgium, Kari (Glen) Beder of Newburg, Becky (Greg) Werner of West Bend, and Gale (Joey) Sigler of Fredonia.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 21, at St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church in Cedarburg.  Father Patrick Burns will preside.
Visitation will be at the church from noon until the Mass, and a reception will be held in the church hall following Mass.
Memorials are suggested in lieu of flowers.
Eernisse Funeral Home in Cedarburg is assisting the family with arrangements.
