Chamber to present awards at May 5 event

The Grafton Area Chamber of Commerce will honor two business leaders and a restaurant for their contributions to the Chamber and community during its annual meeting on Tuesday, May 5, at 13 North.

There will be time for networking from 5 to 6 p.m. The reception will run from 6 to 7:30 p.m.

Heavy hors d’oeuvres will be served and there will be a cash bar.

Tickets are $40 a person and can be purchased at www.grafton-wi.org.

Being recognized with Chamber awards are Matt Zipter of Shorewest Realtors, the Outstanding Businessperson; Kara Yearling, founder and owner of Kara Marie Boutique, the Outstanding Young Professional; and The Stillery, the Outstanding Business.

Chamber Executive Director Elizabeth Mueller said there’s a common thread running through the award winners — community involvement.

“They all have that spirit of giving back that is so great,” Mueller said.
