Cedarburg speedster takes Grafton Lions race title

Cedarburg’s Ryan Haunfelder, 37, (third from left) won the Grafton Lions 5-kilometer run Saturday morning at Centennial Park. He finished in 18 minutes. 30.9 seconds. Grafton’s Brooklyn Echeverria, 20, (left) a cross country runner and 2024 graduate of Grafton High School, won the female race and was second overall, finishing in 21:02.38. Seventy-three runners participated. Grafton High 2026 graduate and the school’s cross-country record-holder Callie Faust, 18, (second from left) was third in 21:07.68. Port Washington’s Mike Mandujano, 34, was fourth in 21:08.76, and Grafton’s Max Tejera, 14, (right) was fifth in 22:24.95.     Photo by Sam Arendt
