Book sale to also feature library furniture

Avid readers in Grafton may find their perfect home accessory this weekend during the Friends of the Grafton Library book sale.

The sale, which runs from Oct. 22 to 24, will include some furniture from the library that wasn’t used in the facility’s recent remodeling.

Among the items included are numerous chairs and end tables, Library Director Amanda Kloppman said.

“They can have a little piece of the old library to take home,” she said.

The recent remodeling included a wide range of improvements, from painting and installing new shelving to replacing furniture and failing fixtures.

In addition to the furniture, the sale will include gently used books, CDs, DVDs, records, audiobooks and puzzles.

The sale, which will be in the lower level meeting room, will run from 10 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturday.

Proceeds from the sale will benefit the library and its programs.

The library is at 1620 11th Ave.
