Bonnie Hinz

Bonnie Hinz of Grafton, Wis., was called home on Wednesday, March 18, 2026, at the age of 64.

She was born on Aug. 6, 1961, in Milwaukee, Wis., the beloved daughter of Elmer and Patricia (nee Kirby) Terlinden.

On April 24, 2015, she was united in marriage to Michael Hinz in Las Vegas, Nev.

Bonnie started as a dispatcher at the Port Washington Police Department following her high school graduation. After many years of service with the police department, she left to open her own web design business, Blue Jelly Design. Bonnie would later come back to work for the City of Port Washington as assistant city clerk until she retired in 2019.

Bonnie was a serial hobbyist. She created stamps, designed jewelry, crocheted, taught herself how to knit and do bead-embroidery work. Drawing, sketching and needlepointing were also some of her favorite pastimes. Bonnie blessed her husband with a love for watercolor painting as well.

She was known for her intelligence, patience and generosity. Those who knew her best also knew her for her stubbornness and tenacity. She and her husband enjoyed traveling to Punta Cana and Canada.

Bonnie loved spending time with her family, especially her grandson Jule. She will be remembered for her creativity and the beautiful memories she created with those closest to her.

Bonnie is survived by her husband Michael, her sister Kathy (Rich) Bulgrin, her four-legged companion Lexi as well as many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband Steve Meyer and sister Margaret Kirby.
