Blues Challenge to be held Aug. 15, 16

The 18th annual Paramount Blues Challenge will be held Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 15 and 16, at the Van Ells-Schanen American Legion Hall in Port Washington.

The free festival will include performances by Midlife Oasis at 3 p.m. Saturday followed by The Alex Wilson Family Band at 6 p.m.

On Sunday, the Robert Allen Jr. Band featuring Sly will perform at 1 p.m., The Rogue Electrics at 2 p.m., Big Al Dorn at 3 p.m. and Pierre Lee Band at 4 p.m.

Those attending are asked to bring chairs and blankets to sit on.

The Legion bar will be open.
