Barney T. Apthorp

 

Barney T. Apthorp, who passed away Friday, Aug. 28, 2020, was a loving and thoughtful father, grandfather, great-grandfather, a generous friend and a doting caregiver to all creatures great and small.

He will be greatly missed by his family, including daughters Julie (Jay) Eppert and Laura Apthorp; stepdaughter Leslie (Jim) Dehn; stepson Greg Siordia; grandchildren Laura (James) Nelson, James Eppert, Zachary (Kate Logman) Jasen, Lexi (Marcus Dumke) Jasen, Haele Jasen, Megan Dehn, Alex Dehn and Aaron Siordia; and great-grandchildren Liam, Hazel, Crosby, Hattie, Collins, Jameson and Bodhi; as well as many friends, including his closest friend and partner-in-crime John Harmon; past and present members of the Thursday golf/breakfast club; and many, many more.

He was preceded in death by his wife Jackie Apthorp, his parents and older brothers.

A celebration of life gathering will be held on Saturday, Sept. 19, at the Lions Pavilion in Upper Lake Park in Port Washington, Wis., from 1 to 5 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to New Life Pet Adoption Center at www.nlpac.com in Barney’s name.
