Audrey K. ‘Honey’ Molitor

 

Audrey K. “Honey” Molitor, age 75 years, of the Town of Port Washington, Wis., died peacefully June 14, 2020, at Lasata Care Center in Cedarburg, Wis.

She was born June 6, 1945, in Port Washington, Wis., to Alexander and Alice Sherer Fromm.  

She met James “Monk” Molitor of Port Washington, Wis., and they were married July 16, 1966, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Port Washington, Wis.  

Together they raised a family and she joined the Ladies Auxiliary of the Van Ells-Schanen American Legion Post 82, Port Washington, of which her husband was an active member. Her husband James preceded her in death Dec. 7, 2009.

Audrey worked as a hairdresser in Brown Deer, Wis., before starting at the former Kate’s Place in Port Washington as the first manager there. She would later go on to become a hairdressing instructor.  

 After she put the scissors down, she worked as a clerk at Walmart from 2000 to 2009.  

She enjoyed being with family and friends and loved being a grandma.

She is survived by her children John (Nichole) Molitor of Boston, Mass., and Julie Molitor of Port Washington and granddaughter Lucy Ann.  

She is further survived by brothers Alvin “Butch” (Marilyn) Fromm of Grafton; sister-in-law Elsa Molitor of Port Washington; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.  

She was preceded in death by her husband James; daughter Dawn Marie; sister Alice Jacque; brothers Art Fromm and Allen Fromm; and brother-in-law Ron Molitor.

 A Mass of Christian burial will be at 6 p.m. Tuesday, June 23, 2020, at St. John XXIII Parish, St. Mary’s Church, 451 N. Johnson St., Port Washington, Wis.  

Visitation will be held from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 23, 2020, at Poole Funeral Home/Crematory, 203 N. Wisconsin St., Port Washington, Wis.

Interment will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Port Washington, Wis.

Covid-19 recommendations will be followed.  The family requests that masks be worn.  Exercise social distancing.  Thank you.
