Audrey Ann Bowles

Audrey Ann (nee Medinger) Bowles passed away on Nov. 7, 2025. She was 91 years old.
Audrey was born on her family’s farm in the Town of Belgium on April 19, 1934, to Joseph and Adeline (nee Wellenstein) Medinger.
She graduated from Port Washington High School in 1952.
Audrey was united in marriage with William Bowles on May 11, 1957, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Lake Church.
Audrey and Bill spent their 68 years together traveling across the country with their children and together during their retirement. She and Bill would take spontaneous trips across the state and forget to tell anyone.
She enjoyed attending school and sporting events for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Audrey’s love was her family and her gardens.
She is survived by her husband Bill Bowles of Belgium; her children Ann (Carl) Edmonds of Random Lake, Billy (Maxine) Bowles of Port Washington, Cary Bowles of Athelstane, Daneen (Boyd) Ten Haken of Random Lake and Emma (Bob) Kulinski of Belgium; grandchildren Michele (Beckie Stanley) Hilbelink, Nic (Megan) Jacoby, Meagan (Jason) DeMaster, Ali (Jim) Jolly, Cody Schuessler, Kori (Joe) Martin and Kellcie (Cody Carter) Ten Haken; great-grandchildren Cole (Nina), Kate, Jack, Emmy, Miles, Allis and Oliver; and her sister-in-law Mary Stroh of Michigan. She is further survived by many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers Emery (Lenore) Medinger, Harold (Katie) Medinger and Jim (Karen) Medinger and great-granddaughter Adeline.
A visitation will be held for Audrey on Thursday, Nov. 20, from 4 to 6 p.m. at Eernisse Funeral Home, 171 N. Royal Ave., Belgium, WI 53004. She will be laid to rest at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Lake Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Belgium Fire Department are appreciated.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Harbor Club in Port Washington and Aurora Medical Center in Grafton.
