Appointments required for Tuesday pantry event
The Saukville Food Pantry’s Bakery, Fresh Produce and Frozen Foods Day is open from 1:30 to 4 p.m. Tuesdays but will now only be available by appointment.
The pantry is still open each week on alternating Thursday nights and Saturday mornings.
Appointments can be made for any of the days by calling the pantry at 689-8591 or online at saukvillefoodpantry.org. New patrons must register, provide proof of residency in Ozaukee County and meet income requirements.
The pantry is in the basement of Parkside United Church of Christ, 166 W. Dekora St.
In addition, a Mobile Food Pantry is held each month at Grady Park. The next one will be from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 22.
No registration is needed for the mobile pantry, which offers in-season produce, frozen meats and other foods, plus some dry goods.
The pantry’s free community meal program has been suspended through August.
