Annie M. Stadler

It is with great sadness that the family of Annie M. Stadler of Saukville, Wis., announces her passing after a three-year, hard-fought, courageous battle with breast cancer. Annie passed away peacefully at her home, surrounded by her family, on Sunday, Oct. 12, 2025, at the age of 68.  

She married her high school true love, Ronald Stadler, at Holy Cross Chapel in Belgium, Wis., on Oct. 4, 1975. Together they raised four beautiful children.

Annie was a proud graduate of Ozaukee High School.  

She began her career as a bank teller and retired after almost 48 years in the banking industry as a branch manager at Port Washington State Bank in Fredonia, Wis.  

Annie was very involved in her community, serving as a longtime board member of the Northern Ozaukee Schools Scholarship Foundation and as its treasurer for 10 of those years. She held different positions as a Fredonia Lioness and later transferred her efforts by becoming a member of the Fredonia Lions Club. Annie was part of the Fredonia Chamber of Commerce, a board member of United Way of Northern Ozaukee County and belonged to the Ozaukee Warrior Booster Club. Annie had a strong passion for her local community and supporting all those around her. 

Annie was dedicated to her loving husband and each of her children. In addition, Annie adored her grandchildren and never missed an opportunity to spend extra time with them. She especially enjoyed it when the entire family could spend time together at the holidays, around the pond at their home or at the family cabin up north.  

Annie was an avid bowler for many years. She enjoyed bowling with her longtime friends and participated in the annual bowling fundraiser for Big Brothers Big Sisters of America.  

Those left to cherish Annie’s memory include her devoted husband Ronald and her cherished children Kim (Josh) Palleon, Lynn (Andrew) Marshall, Scott (Brynn) Stadler and Mike (Natalie Peralta) Stadler. She was “Granny” to Ella, Ava, Mya, Maxwell, Kaya, Tanner and Libby.

She is further survived by siblings Steven (Carol) Bares, Charles (the late Mary) Bares, Edwin (Manejeh) Bares, Anthony (Jill) Bares, Hedy (Peter) Poull  and Ruth (Rick) Kultgen, sister-in-law Audrey Bares and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. 

She was preceded in death by her parents Ed and Betty Bares, her brothers Paul and Larry Bares and sister Patricia Bares.

A memorial service will be held at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 27, 2025, at Eernisse Funeral Home, 1600 W. Grand Ave., Port Washington, WI 53074. The family will receive relatives and friends at the funeral home from 4 to 6:30 p.m.
