American Legion offering medical scholarship

The American Legion Melvin Wester Post 412 in Belgium is offering its $2,000 Robert H. Dorr Medical Scholarship again.

Any child, grandchild, stepchild or step-grandchild of a living or dead member of Belgium’s American Legion post is eligible. Applicants may live outside of Wisconsin.

Any student with permanent residence in the village or town of Belgium is also eligible.

Qualifications include being enrolled in medical school and having completed three semesters by Jan. 1, 2025. Pre-med, nursing and professional medical students are among those eligible.
