All aboard the Polar Express

The annual event is put on by the Port Washington, Grafton and Cedarburg parks and recreation departments and gives youngsters a glimpse into the magic of Santa’s workshop. This year’s event will be held from 9 a.m. to noon Dec. 4 at the Port Washington Fire Station. Activities include caroling, cookie decorating, trolley rides, train display, letters to Santa, making reindeer food, photos with Santa and a special gift from the big man. A decorated school bus will transport children from Cedarburg and Grafton, while a trolly will pick up Port kids for the event. Tickets, which are required, are $7 per child, with children 2 and younger admitted free.
