4K enrollment remains stable

The number of 4-year-old kindergartners were expected to increase at the end of summer but held steady at Cedar Grove-Belgium Elementary School.
Principal Jeff Kondrakiewicz told the School Board on Aug. 11 that 42 students were signed up. Classes of 22 and 20 were planned.
If more students enrolled, he planned to ask for a third section.
“I bet we’ll be hitting here in September with a three-section 4K,” he said.
As of last week, the numbers did not change, and the two-section plan was a go.
