4-H honors its outstanding leaders, new ambassadors at the Ozaukee County Fair

The 4-H Key Award, the highest honor bestowed by the Wisconsin 4-H program, was presented to (from left in photo above) Taylor Wilke of the Cloverleaf 4-H Club, Emlyn Schuster of the Covered Bridge 4-H Club and Lindsey Kroening of the Lindenwood 4-H Club at the Ozaukee County Fair in Cedarburg on Sunday, Aug. 2. The Key Award is presented to 4-H members who have demonstrated high achievement during at least the last three years with one year of youth leadership experience, held positions of responsibility within their clubs, have been involved in county, district and state 4-H activities, shown leadership and good citizenship and performed community service. Also on Sunday at the fair, Luke Hamm of the Holy Cross 4-H Club and Jacqueline Poull of the Jay Road 4-H Club were crowned Mr. and Miss Ozaukee 4-H 2027 (lower). Chosen by judges to serve as ambassadors for the Ozaukee County 4-H program for the next year, Hamm and Poull succeed Mr. and Miss Ozaukee 4-H 2026 Jacob Cehanovich and Emlyn Schuster.      Photos by Sam Arendt
