‘Rescue the Turkeys’ in Port parks in November
“Rescue the Turkeys” will be held in Port Washington parks from Nov. 7 to 20.
Colorful laminated pictures of turkeys will be hidden in 14 city parks. Youngsters are asked to bring the pictures they find to the Niederkorn Library to exchange for a free book.
There is a limit of three books, and participating children should be 12 and younger.
The parks include Antoine, Bley, City, Columbia, Hidden Hills, Kolbach, Lion’s, Overlook, Schanen Acres, Stacker, Veterans Memorial, Whitefish, Windrush and Woods at White Pine.
