‘Guys & Dolls’ staged in Random Lake Aug. 2 to 5
The musical “Guys & Dolls” will be presented at Random Lake High School at 7:30 p.m. Thursday and Friday, Aug. 2 and 3, at 2 and 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 4, and 2 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 5.
Featuring songs like “Luck Be a Lady” and “Sit Down, You’re Rockin’ the Boat” the show is directed by Jim Johnson and Roy Schwab.
The musical tells the story of Nathan Detroit, played by Dan Hennell, who facilitates the world’s longest running craps game, his long-suffering fiancée and showgirl Miss Adelaide, portrayed by Alexia Birenbaum, professional gambler Sky Masterson, played by Ben Johnson, and Sarah Brown, leader of the Save-A-Soul Mission, in a double cast role played by Tiffany Tillman and Mikayla Locke.
Other local actors in the show include Rita Horstmeier, Tom Kamenick, Bob Eichner, Maria Jensen, Lauren Kruse, Cherrie Deavers, Kaylee McCarty, Karley Birenbaum, Emma Casper, Gavin Emmrich, Lena Stange, Rosie Klemm, Elaina Ternes, Danielle Ehaney, Bob Deyo, Hanna Best, Kira Packard, Angel Martinez, Alex Schmit, Kaci Packard, Brooke Ehaney, Charlotte Ehaney, Amari Williams, Kaylin Eichner and Mya Ternes.
Brian Falk is the music director and orchestra conductor and also plays the master of ceremonies.
Admission is $11 for adults and $6 for students and children. Advance tickets are available at Doegnitz Ace Hardware in Random Lake.
