‘Disco Inferno’ heats up Port

Port Summer Theatre will revisit the 1970s and its distinctive musical genre when it presents “Disco Inferno” Friday and Sunday, July 13 and 15, at Memories Ballroom in the Town of Port Washington. The show tells the story of Jack, played by Jack Orten, who meets Lady Marmalade, portrayed by Jackie Rowley, while working at the London nightclub Disco Inferno. Jack makes a deal with Lady Marmalade, who is the devil’s right hand lady, trading his soul to fulfill his wildest fantasies, becoming an international musical success story. But success proves hollow when Jack loses his girlfriend Jane, played by Brianna Dawson, and he mulls what would happen if he could turn back the hands of time and trade his success for the love of his life. On Friday, there will be a buffet dinner at 6:30 p.m. followed by the show at 7:45 p.m. On Sunday, there will be a show at 2 p.m. as well as a dinner at 6 p.m. followed by the show at 7:15 p.m. Tickets for the dinner and show are $32 and for the show alone $10. For information or tickets, contact the Port Washington Parks and Recreation Department at 284-5881.                                                                                                Photo by Sam Arendt
